Welcome to Baucau!

Baucau is the number-two town in Timor-Leste, located 123km east of Dili. On the so-called "highway" - which is one of the country's better roads - it took us about 3 hours by car to get there.

Baucau is also well-known as one of the country's FRETILIN centre:

The people might express their feelings towards the trial which is supposed to start on July 13th in Dili. 28 people are accused of involvement in the attempted assassination of the President in February 2008.
