Batumanu Part II

A traditional family house in Batumanu's surrounding mountains...
Maybe the world's best located volleyballfeld with a wonderful view! People just need to be careful with losing the ball - bringing it back might be an issue that could end up in a more-hours hiking trip!
View to Batumanu village... the name comes from the words "batu" (rock) "manu" (chicken) in local dialect and refers to a rock that looks like a chicken. The neighboring village is called Batueiro (eiro - monkey).
The church of Batumanu:
Back from our hiking trip and glad about some fresh mountain spring water from the community tap!
Before we left Batumanu, the community prepared a traditional ceremony. As a gesture of welcome and friendship, local women presented me with some Taís, cloth woven in the traditional way.
